Replying to: trebor129 (Dec 08, 2007 4:15 pm) Yup, it is interesting just how much performance has improved. I've got a 2003 V8 4WD 4Runner. 0-60 around 7.5 seconds. Mileage runs from 16-18 mpg. Weighs around 4600 lbs. 220 hp and 320 ft lbs of torque from a 4.7l V8. My first car was a '78 Trans Am, 6.6l V8, 4-speed manual. 0-60 was around 7.5 seconds and mileage was ~12 mpg in the city and 17 mpg highway. At the time, that was considered a fast car.
