I have a 2002 Ranger with a check engine warning light. The code is P1537, a little research proved the code to be "Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open." Does anyone have knowledge or experience with this fault and how to correct it?

When it is stuck open the butterfly is open all the time and your low end torque is less, but your gas milage is better (my experience). It is not hard to remove the intake and clean it all out around the butterfly to make sure it is not so dirty as to be sticking.
