Comparison Test: 2008 Honda Accord Coupe vs. 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe - The 3.5-liter SOHC V6 in the Accord produces 268 horsepower at 6,200 rpm, while the 3.5-liter DOHC V6 under the Altima's hood is good for 270 hp at 6,000 rpm. Despite the edge in torque output that the Nissan V6's 258 pound-feet has over the Honda's 248 lb-ft, the Accord feels as if it is the twist-meister here. (more)

My Nissan Quest, on the other hand, big disappointment.
Was it the Mercury Villager twin?

My Nissan Stanza (the name Stanza was still used on a tiny plaque on the trunk in the first year that they renamed it the Altima) was enjoyable, but not particularly reliable. The firewall rusted through at the point where the clutch master cylinder was attached. I had to do major kluge work there to enable the vehicle to be driven. I had water leakage and rust in the trunk. I had an unrelated clutch failure that disabled the car for Memorial Day weekend about 80 miles from home and pay lots of CASH for the repair.
I'll stick with Honda's quality and reliability for now.

Yes, it was. My understanding was that the transmission was made by Ford. It started slipping right around 100k miles. Was a nice mini-van as far as looks and comfort/luxury but not mechanical reliability.

from my understanding, the quest was/is a piece of crap. for some reason though, they're determined to stay in the minivan market.
