#619 of 686 Whistling sound
Dec 10, 2009 (12:13 pm)
In the past, myself and others have mentioned a whistling or vibrating sound. I resolved this a couple of months ago and thought I would share my solution.
The whistlning/vibrating sound occurred when I reached 60 mph or so.
The sound was actually coming from the base of the roof rack. I noticed that the base of the roof rack was actually loose. I told the Nissan Service department and they said they had to re-order that part.
Ever since the new base was installed, issue resolved!
Btw, I have a 2009 Murano.
#620 of 686 New owner--old question
Dec 26, 2009 (6:25 pm)
New and happy owner of the 2010 SL with all the toys.
Does anyone know the max capacity for the CF memory card, and if I pop off the blank in the dashboard, is there a CF reader back there? They couldn't use SD memory when designing this? Any way to convert?
Also, the million dollar question: what's the best way to get the video to play while moving? Is the lockout driven by the speed sensor, emergency brake, or gear shift? Anyone?
Anyone have tips on how to access the Bose system to add better/additional subs? Front Tweeters as weak also--a little disappointing for the money and from Bose.
I was told the music box can only take "store bought" cds--I assume they meant wav. files. Do I need to convert all my mp3s to wav to get them loaded--or am I stuck playing MP3s from the disc player. Is there a direct hack into the drive space used in the music box?
Sitting still-- I understand the DVD will play, will it play any other formats? DivX Mpeg4 etc?
If down the road I find I can't live without the 20" wheels, is it as simple as unscrewing the old ones and adding the 20", or is there a suspension geometry issue?
Same question for the xenon lights, just a plug in--or is the wiring harness different?
I appreciate the forum, and have scanned enough to see there are power users here--specific thanks there as you shaped my decision to buy.

It certainly is a nice toy. Share your buying experience and which area you bought it in. In live in the tri state area and got the same car. The stereo is actually great you need to access the audio menu to set the bass & tremble to the max to get the system's maximum benefit. I guess you did not get the sunroof or tech package? Although the DVD sounds nice is it the overhead?
#622 of 686 2010 LE rear cargo color
Jan 02, 2010 (9:57 pm)
I have a question re: color of plastic inside rear hatch cover and side panels. I have black leather and headliner and A-pillar post color is grey fabric. But the rear hatch interior piece and the rear interior side panels are tan/beige! Looks strange..they should be grey in my opinion.
Anybody else with black leather interior have the same color issue or is mine a factory screw-up? Outside color is platinum graphite. Thanks.

I have the 2009 with black leather and the interior panels are all the same black or dark gray. Your tan panels sound weird to me. I would consider the change in various tone values in the panels as a mistake.

I have an 09 LE, super black murano with black interior. Anything that isn't black is grey in my car. I'm thinking the tan thing must be a mistake.

Thanks much to you and ukko. That confirms they do make grey panels. I'm thinking it is an early 2010 production screw-up. I found a 2010 S model with black cloth on the lot yesterday and it had tan panels too. I'll approach the dealer.
Anybody out there with a 2010?

I have a platinum with black leather. All interior panels are dark grey panels. However, my 2007 was grey panels all around except for the back which was a tan color as well. So it is not out of the ordinary. I do understad your frustration. It should be all in one color.

Thanks. Is yours a 2010 or 2009?
