| I can't seem to find much on the tow package. All indications are that it is nothing more than a hitch and wiring. Is that correct? For the price, I'd expect the typical larger radiator and alternator, transmission oil cooler, etc. | |

Replying to: greanpea68 (Feb 28, 2008 11:10 am) So this takes me back to my original question: What do you get for $600+ other than a hitch and some wiring?

The tow prep package on a new 2008 Highlander costs $220 (much less) and includes an upgraded radiator, transmission oil cooler with water cooler, 150-amp alternator and trailer pre-wiring, engine oil cooler and 200-watt fan coupling. No hitch however (typical cost of $150 - $200). It just seemed to me that for $600+ there must be more to it than just a hitch and some wiring but, I guess not. |
