I built an A5 on the Audi website with the options I wanted (no nav) for $43k. Can't find one around here for less than $47k.

Those lease payments are ridiculous. I guess I'll go get a loaded G37 with 330hp for $10k less.

A5 Lease Offer: I'm Pissed! by cklaszky

I checked Audi's website yesterday(as I often do) for special offers. Came across a FANTASTIC deal for the A5. It was a South Florida regional offer.

It was titled: No Payments at Signing on 2009 Audi A5.

$0 Down Payment
$0 Security Deposit
$625 Acquisition Fee
$0 First Month's Payment

$499/ month 36 months, based on a A5, Premium w/ Nav and iPod adapter.
MSRP of $47405.

Offer was good until 7/6/2009.

Sounds INCREDIBLE, right?!

Well, I went back to the site to check the details this morning and it had changed overnight!! I'm furious.

Now it's changed to this:

2009 Audi A5
$699* lease per month for 36 months
Now through July 6, 2009

Down payment: $999
Refundable security deposit: $0
Acquisition fee: $625
First month's payment: $699
Amount due at lease inception: $1,624
Excludes taxes, title and dealer fees

*36-mo. closed-end lease offered to qualified customers by Audi Financial Services through participating dealers. Must take delivery by 7/6/2009. Rate based on $47,405 MSRP of a 2009 Audi A5 3.2 quattro Premium with Ipod Music Interface, Leather and Navigation (includes destination charge). Purchase option at lease end for $24,650.

I'm pissed.

This quote is the best one I've seen (I've seen similar quotes but the cars didn't come with much of the extras not included in a premium package), but wanted to be sure:
Based on $1,000 above invoice, which is $44, 683. 49% residual
36 month lease
$2,100 down
15k mileage allowance
$823 a month, Audi makes first payment
Car includes: premium package , with 19 inch wheels, navigation, and B&O sound system.

Thanks!

Here you go ja54. Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 A5 with 15,000 miles per year are .00215 and 49%, respectively.

You never mentioned how long you want to lease for or what mileage allowance you need, so I had to make some assumptions. Let me know if you want something different.

Audi is currently providing $750 loyalty cash on leases of this car and it is waiving the first month's payment on leases of it for all customers.

Car_man,

Thanks for the reply. I am looking for a 10K 36 or 24 mo lease. I'm from NY and one dealer told me .0218 and 52% for a 10K 36 mo lease. Sounds accurate based on what you provided. Trying to decided between a 335ix and A5. Thanks again.

I'm considering same alternatives but have G37x coupe in the mix too. While the price points are clearly spread out, it's unclear to me that the actual value of each are that distinct. Value for money lies with G, "ultimate" end-to-end performance with the 335 but I'm in lust with A5 - big problem!

I drive very few miles (est. 6k this calendar year) so am seriously considering a low mile used 09 of either/all. Thoughts, anyone? My timeline is July/Aug - your's? Plz keep us advised of your progress.

Just got this quote from a dealer in Tampa. Does anyone have any input on this. Sounds like its a bit high for a 10K lease.

Bang and Olufsen sound, Navigation, Premium package, Tech Package
MSRP $51,640
Sale price $50,000

36 month, 30,000 mile lease
$2,500 due at lease inception
Monthly payment $793.57 plus tax
Audi Financial makes your first payment

For a car with MSRP about $1K more than your deal, I was offered my 24month/36000 miles deal at about $3K down and $1100/ mo. which I declined.

Audi (and BMW) are not offering favorable lease deals but your deal sounds better than mine. I am not in your area (or FL.) but is yours through Reeves in Tampa?
