Hello latin0devildog. I would be happy to use Audi's current lease program to calculate a sample payment on the exact car that you are interested in for you. I just need you to let me know its MSRP and dealer invoice price. You can find that data over in the New Vehicle Pricing section of Edmunds.com.
You definitely should not put $10,000, or even $5,000 down on any lease.

#612 of 720 2013 A5 Prestige Coupe w/ S-line package and Premium Plus

I am looking to lease and was wondering what the money factor and residual for August are for the Prestige vs. Premium Plus. I was quoted 0.00174 and 55 vs. 59% residual.
Secondly, on the New vehicle pricing on Edmunds the market value in my area is at least $3000 less. Can I expect to negotiate this price even on a lease?
Thank you for your help.

Hi Car Man,
I hope you can help. What would the money factor and residual be on a Audi A5 premium plus, 36 months/12K. The MSRP woud be $48,870. My credit score is 755. Also what be an acceptable/good negotiated lease price, $44,470?? Does Audi offer any assistance to get you out of a Lexus, or if I own another competitotr car? Does Audi participate with multiple security deposits as cap cost reduction? Thanks so much for your assistance. Kevin

Hi snufflez. The numbers for a 36-month, 10k lease of a 2013 A5 Prestige Coupe are .00159 and 55%.
The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a Premium Plus are .00159 and 59%.
Yes, the selling price of leased vehicles are negotiable just as if you were paying cash for or financing them.

Hi Kevin. The 2013 A5 Coupe that you described probably has a spread of around $3,000 or so between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. I highly doubt that you will be able to negotiate a $4,400 discount on a car that only has a $3,000 spread between invoice and MSRP. If I was in the market for this car, I personally would shoot for a selling price of $500 to $1,000 over invoice and see what happens. You can look up this car's exact invoice price over in the New Vehicle Pricing section of Edmunds.com.
Audi is providing owner loyalty cash on the A5, but I don't believe that it has any cash on this car for current owners of competitive models.

I think you can do better - the cash at signing seems high. I leased my A5 (premium plus with sport package) last November and it's quite similar to yours (although I have audi care included in mine). Your MSRP is a bit higher (about $800) than mine - maybe you have some other options. I'm also in CA. I paid less up front and also have a lower monthly payment and audi care. Check out the details of my lease - it's post #544.

#620 of 720 AudiCare - Increase Residual if don't roll cost into monthly payment
by nwsportsreport

Hello,
I am contemplating whether I should get AudiCare for the 2013 A5 Premium Plus Quattro I am about to lease. Could someone help me with a couple of questions I have regarding AudiCare:
1) Does AudiCare increase the residual value of your car by 1%? I've been seeing this in some older posts and want to see if this is still the case.
2) If I pay for AudiCare and pay for the cost ($800) instead of rolling it into the monthly payment, will I still get a 1% increase in residual value thus lowering my monthly payment?
Clearly if I am able to pay for the AudiCare as part of my upfront cost and still get the 1% increase residual, it comes out to the best deal because I won't have to pay interest on the AudiCare and get the decrease in monthly payments due to lower depreciation costs.
Thanks
