Comparison Test: 2007-2008 Sport Sedans - This is exactly why we gathered this group of sport sedans. That is, to find out if the 2008 Cadillac CTS, 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport, 2008 Lexus IS 350 or 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport can topple the Bavarian champ — the 2007 BMW 335i. In the spirit of the segment, each car in the test is outfitted with sport package hardware — usually a stiffer suspension and bigger wheels and tires — and an automatic transmission. (more)

I could plug that straight into the AUX jack and get better quality than an FM-tuner device. I want the MP3s on the built-in HDD though so that I don't have to carry an extra device or futz with CDs while driving. |

Both my passengers (~6ft, 200+ lb guys) complained loudly about the lack of foot room (not knee room) in the Lexus. Both said the room in the G35 was far superior. Having sat in the back of both myself, I tend to agree. I didn't have any (more) trouble getting in / out of the back seat than I do the fronts. The only "trouble" I have there is that I'm used to a truck and going down when exiting a vehicle not up! *laugh*

I wouldn't recommend skipping it to anyone. Personal preference... AWD is the only choice if you live where it snows / freezes frequently, but if not, well, why bother?

However, if the car's voice control is as advance as USS Enterprise's then I could change my mind... Understandable, if that's the only part of it you want, it's way too much $$. I find myself wishing ALL my vehicles had a backup camera. It's tremendously useful for backing the car into the garage. XM, portable: Then you have to window mount it and obscure part of your view in order for it to be useful. Plus power it or remember it recharge it / plug it in / buy batteries. No thanks. Sure they're useful more places, they're also a pita more places. Re: Kirk: No, not that advanced, but the keywords are intuitive and easy to use (imo). It works best if you just talk in a normal voice instead of trying to force enunciation in a loud / obvious manner. I mainly use it when driving like I shouldn't be on public roads or when I'm in heavy traffic and want to reroute around a stall / wreck / jam.

Those who don't have one don't know what they are missing - IMHO. Too bad most manufacturers require you to get Nav to get the backup camera. Wish they would also provide cooled seats also. Heated seats are offered but sometimes my tush needs to be cooled! |

Replying to: kdshapiro (Dec 05, 2007 7:14 am) Might be surprised how handy this option would turn out to be. Especially helpful when parking although some try to hack the system so the camera is always on so they can look at all the cars that can't quite keep up. Don't settle for what BMW offers - demand more. I think BMW owners should thank Infiniti for the G. Infiniti gave them a run for the money forcing BMW to make their cars better. The winner here? The consumer! If I remember correctly, when Lexus first came on the scene they hit MB hard - better quality and luxury at a much lower price. Didn't MB have to lower their prices to compete? Or am I just fantasizing about lower prices???
