Personally, I love my Sky, despite the brakes. I am actually enjoying driving again. I'm sure a fix will be forthcoming. In the meantime, we all need to file complaints with the NHTSA (the address is in the manual). Like you, it did me no good to complain to Saturn. JJH |

But I have heard that they have changed it again. It is being fixed on the affected models only if you make noise to the dealer & manufacturer. The problem can also be avoided if you will just let the car warm up for a couple of minutes so the vacuum for the brakes can build up.

Replying to: carguy916 (Oct 25, 2007 12:22 pm) Last night took it to the dealer, they gave me a rent a car and now I'm waiting to see what happens. I can assure you, I did NOT buy this car to have to warm it up every single time in order for the brakes to work correctly at start-up. |

My 08' Sky Redline is only a month old. This happens to me too! It's so scary! I filed complaints on www.NHTSA.com and I took it to the dealer last night. I now have a rent a car and await to see what they are going to say. Others say to let the car warm up each time to get the brakes to work properly. Like i'm going to do that each time. No way! If the car is not fixed, I may return the car. What if someone else were to drive the car or if I took it to a valet??????? Someone could be hurt, killed, or my car might be wrecked. I'm very upset.

has anyone learned anything new about this Saturn Sky "no brakes are available until the car warms up" issue that would care to share it with the rest of us?

Replying to: iluvmysephia1 (Dec 07, 2007 11:38 am) I received a call from Saturn within 48 hours but they only left a message. Unfortunately the person enunciated so poorly I couldn't understand the number they left so I've not spoken with them again. I assume it's probably the standard, "We value your concerns but we aren't gonna do anything about it" courtesy call. Yesterday I received an email from an NHTSA representative asking for more information on my complaint. Hopefully they'll get something done with GM. |

issue because as everyone reading this forum already knows, that is just not right. And the sister car the Pontiac Solstice doesn't have the same problem, either. I have not heard of such a glitch before but it sounds like it could get very dangerous if someone just takes off right away(as if that is some kind of automotive driving sin or something!). I hope you guys get a good fix for this soon, I really do.
