Would you recommend purchasing options for the Fit (cargo tray, bumper protection, cargo cover) through the dealer at time of car purchase or on line at a much cheaper cost. I'm a woman who is pretty mechanical and don't know how difficult it would be to install these options myself. Thanks.

Definitely purchase online and not from the dealer. You'll pay less and most things are a cinch to install. I purchased Honda Fit sport mats (rubber) that only required about 10 mins of my time installing ( you need a knife and will cut into your carpetting). I also got the Honda Fit cargo cover, alloy wheel locks, little chrome thing that goes on the exhaust pipe, rear bumper applique (sp?) and the rear cargo mat - all required just opening up the package and snapping into place.

My dealer is pushing for me to purchase the environmental package (Simoniz System 5 Teflon sealant). Would anyone recommend this? I think it is pricey at $500 (5 year warranty). I live in CT.

Is this the paint thing? I was told that the paint protection is a big rip off. One article I read said that some of the warranties require you to go in numerous times to get it redone in order for the warranty to be valid... There are sites online where you can buy your own paint protector and apply it yourself...

You could buy a lot of high-quality car wax for $500. And the Fit takes, what, 10 minutes to wax?

i ordered the cargo net and the cargo organizer..both i installed in just a few minutes..the net required a screwdriver and installing it using the screws in the back but was easy and the cargo organizer just clipped on the the hooks on the floor in the back....you can find the cheaper online if you want...

I order this from the dealer and am having it installed there since I don;t trust myself to drill into the plastic there...

I am paying $250 for the console and probably $100 for the installation
