#1 of 2993 2007 Santa Fe: Did you know? by pelican19

My wife had said she was finding the headrest to be a bit too forward for her comfort. I asked her if this was something recent or did it bother her from day one of our purchase. She said it was just recently. I went out to check and sure enough the kids must have been roughing it up in the back seat and accidently pushed against her headrest. I explained to my wife that the Santa Fe headrests are adjustable. She was not aware of this. You have four available settings. Pushing them beyond the fourth setting will allow them to retract and reset.

The active headrest system is designed to move forward during a rear end collision closing the distance between your head and the headrest. Statistically this can reduce the amount of trauma to the neck. Most cars do not allow you to adjust them but the Sante Fe does...

#4 of 2993 2007 santa fe fog light install by alcar14

I purchased fog lights for my 2007 Sante Fe, after installing them I found no wireing harness. Does anyone know what I am supposed to do now. Any help completing this project will be helpful.

Thank You

#7 of 2993 Can I tow a boat w/my Sante Fe? by blazermbb

I have a 2007 Sante Fe GLS 2.7 (I think)...basic car. Is it possible to add a tow hitch to pull a bass boat of about 2000 pounds or less?

You can add the hitch and have someone do the wiring but the 2.7 is slightly under powered for the job IMO and you do not have the heavy duty cooling for the engine and tranny. At the very least I would have someone install a tranny cooler.

Thanks. I found out the boat weight is just a little over 1000 pounds, with the trailer estimated at 500 pounds. This is 500 pounds under what I originally thought. Would that make a big difference? The tranny cooler is a must....Will the frame hold up? Any brake issues I should think about? I basically want to get a fix quick to get this boat in the water over the next few weeks...before it is winterized. Come spring I will trade in my husbands Tiburon for something that will toe without any concerns. After that, the Sante Fe would only be used in emergencies.
