This M3 is probably the most embarressing M3 ever. I'll give it that. With the macho crotch bulge on its hood and fish mouth gaping front air dam right down to its gas guzzling V8.. One must wonder; what was BMW thinking??? I'll take a 335i with Sports and Aerodynamic package over the E92 any day of the week. Replying to: jmaroun (Jan 20, 2008 10:04 pm) Why all the V8 haters. The V8 has more power, is lighter, and virtually identical EPA figures on gas consumption. The competition is pounding away with 400-500 HP V8 engines. These boards would be lit up like a christmas tree with people bashing BMW if the stuck with a I6. There is always the 335i for those of you that must have an I6 or the used car market. To me the V8 sounds like a truely great engine and the performance has never been better. Check out the video of the E92 vs M3 CSL floating around the next. No contest in a straight pull. Course you have the haters that start calling the E92 out on the track but give it the CSL treatment and it would be no contest there as well. The styling is a bit more agressive than we have seen in the past but is purely opinion. The 335i is a great car, but I have read just as many people complain the styling is too tame. Some may truely prefer the E46 over the E92, but so many of these post sound so much like sour grapes its embarrassing. Personally I can't decide what the heck I want. Replying to: snck (Mar 17, 2008 5:10 pm) No mention of my e36 M3? I personally like all the M3's all for different reasons. I bought an e36 because it was the most economical for me at the time. Decent power, relatively light weight (comparing to the e46) and still a blast to drive. I personally feel that the only true M3 is still and will always be the e30. Once they offer an automatic transmission in a motorsports car like this, it automatically looses its purpose as a motorsports car in my opinion. As for the e92, I hated it at first. Now, I love it. It just grew on me.
