Ok, I have a 2002 Explorer. I'll get right to it. When I go 45 mph or faster everything is fine. While I accelerate or keep a constant speed (with my foot on the gas) everything is fine. However, as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator and start to coast I hear a "slight hummm" and then the front end feels like I am going over "mini"(say 1"x1" strips) or tiny speed bumps...but without the noise of going over a "mini" speed bump. This only happens when I take my foot off the gas.....also happens in "neutral" as well. Please help!!!!

Replying to: mikelets456 (Oct 11, 2007 5:24 am) First find a clear street with plenty of room....when you hear the noise take your hands off the wheel. If the noise stops and the car pulls hard you have a bad wheel bearing. The car will pull towards the bad bearing.(put your hands back on the wheel) Hope that helps |
