What is this discussion about?
Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Hatchback
First Look: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI - A six-speed manual transmission is part of the package, and it carries triple-cone synchros on 1st gear and double-cone synchros on 2nd and 3rd. Subaru is also promising better fuel economy than the previous engine. (more)
First Drive: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2.0 - With new five-door hatchback packaging and nondescript styling, the Impreza targets a whole new customer base — drivers more interested in 4WD safety and interior roominess than rallying heritage. But you'd never believe the STI is essentially the same car. (more)
Full Test: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI - Significant changes to the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI have simultaneously given it more performance and more practicality. (more)

I drove the 08 last night, will be posting with my full review tonight. Let's say my Legacy Wagon will be up for sale sometime this spring.

Well, just don't get NAV. The system isn't that great anyway.
Best Buy had a Tom Tom One for $120 on black Friday.
The EVO MR doesn't have a GPS at $39k, either.
STI prices are up, but remember all the stuff they added - multilink rear suspension (vs. simple struts), window frames, VDC, telescoping steering wheel, nicer interior, etc.

Saw my second STI, This one was on the road, not parked like the previous one. This driven STI was blue w/ gold wheels. Did Subaru change the WR blue color? The "new" blue looked a little more aquatic, pearl like and less electric than the old WR blue I remember. I seemed to like the most recent WR blue better.

Thanks Karen. I'm really looking forward to see how this pans out over the course of the year.
I'm really happy to see Edmunds cover this car as a "daily driver," as all the "ink" seems devoted almost exclusively to the performance side, with only a passing reference as to what it's like to live with day-to-day with a performance car like this.
