Hi, I have been researching VW's pickups being released in Brasil, AR, and Mexico. In the south they are called the SAVEIRO, and in Mexico, the Pointer?    I have a 1981 VW pickup, and would be absolutely thrilled to have one of these new ones!!    As of now, there is no way to bring one here.    Just putting the feelers out, is there anyone on this list who would be interested in it?    It's essentially a Jetta with a bed instead of a back cabin.    Let me know what you think..... Replying to: josefwieland (Sep 26, 2007 10:09 am) i will get in line with you. IF VW makes a small diesel pickup that would be my next vehicle I would drive. Just bought a 08 civic. So far 31 mpg. I am a truck guy and miss my truck.
