| My Liberty was fine in the morning, however when I went to start it in the afternoon, it would not turn over. Sounds like it wanted to start, but noticed that gas gauge was registering empty even though I had put gas in the previous evening. Lights worked fine, door open bells were ringing, computer display showed door open and it was. After trying numerous times to get it to start, had it towed to mechanic who cant find problem. And to top it off, today after sitting all weekend the car started! Any one out there have any ideas as to what this could be? One suggestion I have received is that the computer has gone south. Any thoughts??? | |

I just purchased a 2006 Jeep Liberty Non Diesel Automatic. Since having this car for about three weeks now i have had the car not want to accelerate on take off. It starts goes to about 15mph but then stops as if I'm in neutral. The problem when I push the pedal to the floor is it doesn't do anything. It last about 30 seconds and then goes on its merry way. My fear is it is going to do this and someone is going to clobber me in the back end. Is this a common problem and how do I fix it?

I have discovered oil leaking around the right side of the engine toward the rear of the engine. It leaks down on the exhaust pipe and causes a teribble smell. I can not find a leak at the valve cover. Any Ideas? P.S. I have 182,000 miles with no trouble up till now. |

The jeeps 2002 thru 2006 bad valves faulty are H having having having valves go bad and they know about it but refused to issue a recall. Our valve went bad after 70000 miles and Chrysler Jeep refused to help out. We bought car new and engine went out. Worst mistake we ever made. We discovered other people also having problem but Chrysler keeping it quiet so don't have to help people. Never buy Jeep or Chrysler products. They are lieing to public and not reporting these issues.tell as many people as you know. The jeeps 2002 thru 2006 are having valves go bad and they know about it but refused to issue a recall.
