so i was able to remove the bolt connecting the track bar to the axle. I cut through the nut side of the bolt connecting the bar to the frame. Now the bolt seems to be rusted to the sleeve inside the bushing, and the busing is tight to the frame mount and i cannot get this bolt out. i could use some pointers. " i don't have a tourch" and i thought this was going to be an easy task but now it is taking up to much of the little spare time i have. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!!!!!!!!

My 1999 JGC is running codes that tell me 3 of my cylinders have circuit malfunctions. I'm not exactly sure what that means but I need some tips on how to repair it. I would like to do it myself or atleast try before taking it to a shop. Any information about this would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated! Please help I cant even drive it at the moment because the noises its making are HORRIBLE!!!

A few point on AC recharge on a 1996 JGC. You can have a shop do it like I did every 3-4 years or get smart and buy a kit from KRAGEN. My cost from the shops varied from 99$ to 189$. I bout the kit at Kragen and it was only 30$. You need to look at the fan clutch on your compressor and make sure it engages and spins. If not, you need prf. help. If it at least engages a little you may be able to re-charge it yourself. It may click on and off, but that is usually a safety mechanism. Buy the kit. Make sure to follow the recs. Only charge your system to about 40 PSI and make sure to use the low pressure coupler. My Jeep was clicking on and off (the fan clutch). I would simply fill it when it clicked on. As the system recharged, the clutch engaged and it stayed on full time. My car is now nice and cool. This was easy and may save you lots of money. If it does not last long, YOU HAVE A LEAK AND NEED HELP.

Replying to: grand_cherokey (May 26, 2009 2:14 am) You could cut a broomstick to length and toss it in the back.   The only struts I've replaced are the ones on hatches. They are pretty easy to do, although sometimes there's a trick to twisting one end of the rod into place. The weight shouldn't be much different with a hood but the angles may require beefier struts up front. Maybe the parts person would walk you through the process in a few minutes.

Guys please tell me how much you pay for oil filter for Jeep Cherokee 2007 diesel V6 3.0l CRD. Canadian Chrysler dealer charged me almost $50 dollars including tax. I saw same filter on the E-bay for $35. Does anybody have access to cheaper ones? Please let me know

Id like to know if a 1991 jeep cherokee laredo tranny and rear end would fit into a 1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo. How would i test the tranny or the rear end to find out which is the one to replace?

Replying to: grand_cherokey (May 26, 2009 2:14 am) It is not tough at all, but it will depend on what type of replacement pistons you buy. I would suggest buying auto parts store pistons over dealer. Last weekend I did the rear liftgate pistons, the dealer wanted $65.00 for EACH side or $130.00 total. I bought 2 from Carquest for $39.80. Installed them and they work fine. The point here is ask the counter person where you buy them and they can help you with the install for thier type of piston. You will need that broom stick to support the hood (bonnet) while you change them. Do one side at a time. Good luck.
