If you can use a volt meter or know someone who can, there are some fuses on the passenger fender that you need to check.

They are not your typical fuses, but if you lift the cover on the fender, you can traced the positive battery terminal wires to a silver box with seven wires coming out of it : )

This is kind of like a nerve central relay, and if any of those wires are burnt, then you will need to replace the fuses there, which happens alot with battery jumps, other electrical spikes.

Trust me, had it happen when our insurance carrier forced me to install a anti theft system.

Keep the rubber side pointed down, or at least sideways : )

I just returned from the "hell" of replacing my lenses, also on a '97. I suggest letting the dealer do it, but if you insist; the lenses are help in place by 3 snap on fittings (hard to describe but you can see them with a good shoplight. Don't worry about breaking the old ones during removal. The hell is getting the new ones back in place. Hint: I used a rubber hammer to force the snaps/probes into the new lenses. P.S. I broke one turn signal lense during the installation, and now have one of those on order. They, thankfully, I hope, are easy to replace.

turn signal lenses by baumer1

I have to replace the right front turn signal lens. It looks easy-remove 1 screw located between the upper and lower lens will remove the side lens. Then remove 1 or 2 screws (facing downward) to release the old lens (it swings on a hinge?). Am I correct on the procedure?

check the autozone website for a online manual..i've used it several times, and found it was a reasonably competent manual !..it's kinda handy to shop for your parts online, then find the info on how to put it on!..sign in/select your vehicle/select "service manuals",or something similar,...only found one car they didn't have so far,but worth a try!..also,try googling "auto service manuals" for online e-books,my nephew found one that way for his "vibe",and helped a lot when we pulled the dash pad..today's auto engineers are getting better and better about HIDING crutial bolts on stuff like that..,all part of their "get the customer out from under the hood, and into the service department" policy-but it's hard to discourage us "shade tree specialist's",with more time than money..
