First Drive: 2009 Honda Fit - Inside the Fit's cabin, it's apparent that quality levels are up, with improved plastics, more supportive seats and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. Meanwhile, a new dashboard layout looks softer, reflecting a special effort by stylists to appeal to women. (more)

2009 Honda Fit Sport Full Test - Bottom Line: If only every sequel were so good. It's as if Honda used our long-term test blog about the 2007 Fit as a road map for the 2009 model's improvements. (more)

Toten, the US version will have a spare tire. Please search this thread for the differences between the JDM version and the US version.

Lots of people here that don't like the New Fit. Thank goodness-with just 80,000 Fits for 2009 model I would have had a harder time getting the one I have on order!

As am I. Not much to say about that "update" though

I'm tempted to sign up for updates on their 2 hybrids, but chances are I'm going to be on the computer looking up coverage of the Paris Auto Show before I'd get their official e-mail anyway. What can I say, some of us don't have better things to do

Anyone have any guess on the MSRP on the 2009? How much (%) do you think it will go up based on the current base prices? What about guesses on the extra cost of the model with the navigation system?

I, too, am on a first-refusal list, in Austin, TX, for a 2009 Fit Sport with manual transmission, and my salesman called last week to give me a manufacturing date (8/25) and a rough idea of when to expect my car (late September/early October). He says he still doesn't know about pricing. If any of you waiting list people gets a price quote, please come back to us here and let us know what it is - regardless of the model. Also, is anyone expecting to have to pay more than the list price? My dealer assures me they don't do that, but I've bought enough cars to know I need to do my homework. As these cars roll in, actual purchasing experience would be very helpful! Thanks.

I put $500 on a white sport AT Nav at an Austin dealer and they wrote it up at $18,800 EST MSRP. They have not contacted me regarding date. I found this on another forum, but cannot vouch for accuracy:
GE8729EW BASE MT - $14,620 (autoblog & egmcartech base price)
GE8829EW BASE AT~$15,420
GE8749EW SPORT MT~$15,940
GE8849EWSPORT AT ~$16,740
GE8769GW SPORT MT VSA&NAV -TBD CO dealers quoted ~$1800 extra
GE8869GW SPORT VSA&NAV -TBD
