Replying to: ardentazn (Jun 20, 2008 3:55 pm) It was a fully refundable $500 deposit that isn't based on anything. It doesn't matter which version you want. The dealer had already ordered the cars so this just gets you on the list for first refusal. Good luck.

According to this article: click here. It mentioned 09 milage and price. I wonder if it's a typo because they seem the same as current Fit (if base price includes destination charge). I have the feeling that even with increase production numbers, there will still be a shortage here. They need to produce the Fits here in the North America, like the Civic, which has no trouble at all meeting demands.

Replying to: futurefit (Jun 23, 2008 12:14 pm) Thanks for posting that link. I hope 80,000 is enough to keep up with demand. I also see that they report that the Hybrid Fit will not be rolled out until 2015. I was pining for one of those in 2009. Looks like I'll have to get the "dedicated" hybrid model if I want a hatchback hybrid from Honda before 2015. (I'm assuming the dedicated hybrid will be a hatchback or wagon because it is set to compete directly with the Prius.)
