First Drive: 2009 Honda Fit - Inside the Fit's cabin, it's apparent that quality levels are up, with improved plastics, more supportive seats and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. Meanwhile, a new dashboard layout looks softer, reflecting a special effort by stylists to appeal to women. (more)
2009 Honda Fit Sport Full Test - Bottom Line: If only every sequel were so good. It's as if Honda used our long-term test blog about the 2007 Fit as a road map for the 2009 model's improvements. (more)

I would think so, but just wondering if maybe it is tilt-only on the base car. Another thing I'm wondering about is any difference in suspension tuning, (other than the larger 16" alloys and lower profile tires). If Cruise ends up being the only thing I would want that isn't in the base car, I wonder how costly and/or possible it would be to have my mechanic add it. If the wiring harness is different between the two cars, that might make it more challenging if not impossible. |

They don't offer in the US because they don't have to. I was hoping for a fuel consumption display similar to the informative information displayed in the new CRV, and maybe a outside temperature indicator too, but from the looks of what we can see, the fuel consumption will display minimal information and there is no outside temperature indicator.

mcmanus: Could you explain why getting sideswiped in a white car is worse than any other color? I've been sideswiped twice, in non-white cars, and it still sucked! toronado455: Don't hold your breath on seeing any premium upgrades in the US. Japan is a small country... they drive small cars, and they pay a lot for gas. So middle-upper income Japanese like small, versatile cars with upgrades. US doesn't have that market demand yet. Looking forward to US deliveries and tests. Either a new Fit or a slightly used one is on the top of my list when I return the the States. Lee

The other driver hadn't cleared his windshield, and even though I parked under a light, he couldn't see the white car through the snow and foggy window. You can drive with the lights on, but parking with them on is tough on the battery, especially in the cold.

As a member of the Fit message board, I thought you might find it interesting that the EPA announced today that all new cars by the year 2020 must get a minimum of 35 MPG so we'll be ok but it got me thinking about where that leaves the resurgence of the rear wheel drive V8 muscle cars that are making a resurgence like the Mustang, Challenger and Camaro? No word on the SUV's.....
