Well, I'm a daily automatic driver (Accord), but occasionally use my grandfather's 2.4L Frontier with the 5-speed. I learned how to drive a stick years ago using that truck, but still like having the pull-out hand brake "just in case" I don't read the clutch right on a hill.

I didn't realize you could get the 250 with a manual. I'm thinking of the 350 I suppose, with the big ol' 3.5L V6. No row-your-own option there. Thanks for the correction.

Now, back to... Civics, yeah... Civics. Sorry for leading us astray from the topic, host!

Has anyone noticed that their calipers are extremely rusted on their Honda Civic?
I just purchased my car in late October and my calipers are excessively rusted. They tell me this is normal at the dealers. It makes the car look 5 years old.

According to what? The Civic has been on a 5-year cycle since 1996, meaning that 2011 would bring a totally new model.

Nope thats what Best Car Magazine in Japan says. I think it's likely due to the Economy. Honda will bring out several different civics according to the markets. I hear the Hybrid will be a unique model.

Does the vehicle stability assist (VSA) and traction control on the 2009 Civic provide noticeably better traction on snow or wet roads under normal driving conditions?

It's standard on the EX-L sedan. Don't know if it's worth the money since you have to get leather to get the VSA.
