Replying to: sandman_6472 (Mar 17, 2009 1:08 pm) I just purchased a EX-L 2009 and the automatic lock and unlock feature was already activated when I picked it up, I would call your dealer and set up an appointment to have it done, apparently they forgot or don`t do it unless requested.

And it IS NORMAL. The fuel pump has to pressurize the fuel system. Why should the other poster have to waste their time with a dealer who will find nothing?! When a simple procedure will show the car will start everytime. Take it to the dealer is a cheap way out, especially when most dealers have a tough time diagnosing simple issues. Replying to: janicearyan (Mar 16, 2009 4:08 pm) My 09 EX has been experiencing the same thing intermittently and I took it into the dealer and had them check the battery, starter and alternator. All came back good, but at least now I have it on record that this problem exists just in case it turns out to be something major when the car is no longer under warranty. Of course my dealer couldn't replicate the problem either. I've done the whole "priming" procedure described above, and it actually seems to alleviate the problem. But in 2009, why should a modern car need to have this procedure done in order to start the car after it's been sitting for a while? Is this procedure described anywhere in the owner's manual? I've driven a Corolla, Camry, Eclipse, F-150, Ranger, CLK 430, and X5 over the years, and not one of them ever had starting issues unless the battery was shot... I went to AboutAutomobile.com under the Consumer Complaint section, and found a lot of people having problem of excessive rear tires wear out caused by "rear fixed upper control arms"(they wear out in 10K miles range, faster than front tires). It's not only applied to this generation of Civic, but also for Accord, does anyone know whether Honda has fixed this issue for 2009 model? Thanks.

I test drove an 08 Civic a while back and found the E brake very annoying. It would dig into my leg the way I drive. I ended up getting an 09 Corolla instead strictly due to that fact. I am now in the market for another and don't have access until December to test drive, but from the pictures online of the interior of the 09, it looks like the ebrake has the console surrounding it which I think is different than it was in 08 and might solve this problem.
