What is this discussion about? Lexus IS, Sedan

First Look: 2008 Lexus IS-F - Though Lexus is still coy with us about the specifications of the IS-F's V8 as the date of the car's introduction approaches, the engine is almost certainly based on the LS 600h L's 5.0-liter V8. (more)

Yes, but the C63 at least looks hot!
Good grief, this Toyota looks like it crashed through the body kit aisle at Pep Boys.

One thing this is lacking, and its competitors have: class. This thing looks ostentatious.

I know there is not alot of info about the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. But have all of you forgot about it?

The 2008 base CTS now has all the class inside and outside to compete. The V series will be only better. The previous CTS was 400hp. One would only think Cadillac/GM would add atleast 50hp more or make it an even 500hp.

Please define "class" and please don't tell me to look at the M3, C63 and RS4.

I say kudos to Lexus for providing another option in the factory tuned performance sedan/coupe segment.

The CTS-V is more of a M5, RS-6 and E63 AMG competitor.

IS-F on the other hand will compete head to head of the C63 AMG, RS-4 and M3.

What is class?
Precision, tastefullness, grace, dignity, restrained beauty.

What is not class? Jet fighter exhaust outlets, F badges that look out of place everywhere, boy racer body kits and front grills that look like they were stolen off of a civic.

Kudos to you for sharing your feelings.

It's got a silly looking nose job and the side scoops are just plain ugly. I'm sure it will sell great.

Nice for SoCal stoplight drags, different class than M3 by stressdoc1

The emphasis of the M3 design is handling in Alpine twisties. The IS-F seems targeted at the SoCal drag market. I see it as more of a competitor for the Mustang and GTO.
