Even though the owners manual does not match the actual license plate light assembly, I managed to figure it out. The only problem is, the left light unit does not have enough clearance to push it to the right to remove the unit. Replying to: bubba99 (Sep 06, 2007 8:09 am) I know it's a year and a half later, but I just noticed your post, and I had the similar experience a couple of weeks ago. You just have to remove the chrome trim, 4 bolts, and you will have clearance to slide the socket out. I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but just for others to see.
