FXX Mille-Chili: The Green Ferrari - It would seem that the environmental message has even reached the hallowed halls of Maranello. Over the next decade, Ferrari will introduce a host of new technology that will make its cars lighter, smaller and more aerodynamic in a bid to improve their fuel efficiency. The company famous for its scarlet cars is going green. FXX Mille-Chili: The Green Ferrari

It used to be that hybrids have to be a small, slow, and under performing car. Now, it has been proven that they don't have to be that way because, one, Ferrari, Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. are joining Toyota; it is making a profit proving that CAPITALISM and being environmental can mix. In fact, market competition is much more efficient than subsidies; although, I don't mind as long as it could given to companies AFTER they've made their models more fuel efficient because we reward them for achieving the goal. Two, technology is the key to achieve a clean, powerful, performance driven car. I'm glad, especially, they're reconsidering turbochargers because it has been proven that you can make more horsepower yet be lighter (engine weight) and cleaner. If the ELIICA car can go 230 mph, then Ferrari can build one like it. |
