Since he goes on and on about things that don't matter to your typical minivan owner i.e..cornering Gs, i'm assuming he's single and probably never owned a minivan. I think he's getting nervous about the Dodge vans, as he has to tout the 08 Ody at the end |

Looking forward to drive the Chrysler as a rental. I'll never buy this cheap looking van to replace 2000 ody.

"Edmunds has a Honda BIAS" Sure, so does consumer reports, car and driver, motor trend, road and track and pretty much every car publication in the US not to mention Great Britain the far east and so on. Its like the war in Irak, we haven't lost it its the media that is losing it for us!!

Motor Trend, page 134 The Japanese machines still hold an edge in interior finish, the dashes in the Honda and Toyota are large, unbroken expanses of rich looking material, whereas the Dodge uses harder plastic with an abundance of cut lines. But in every other way the Dodge felt the equal or superior vehicle. Wheels Ca "Chrysler laid on both a Toyota Sienna and a Honda Odyssey for back-to-back comparisons. These two suggest that the Japanese are still ahead on interior trim quality. Chrysler recently upped the interior ante on its big sedans; a similar program should be in the works for the minivans, if it isn't already. It's better than it was, just not at the top level yet. And the mighty Odyssey engine is still the best in the field. But for choice, features, functionality and value, the Chrysler minivan still rules." Honda, Toyota, and even Hyundai/Kia are out there with equal and/or even better car quality and features. Yes, Chrysler may have cutting-edge features for now because of its launch. But wait till you see the reviews on its quality, handling, intuitiveness, safety, and even the number of times it will be recalled (I wouldn't be surprised if this comes out within the next 12 months) and you'll see who will come out ahead. Of course, these may not apply to you if you intend to change your car within 2-3 years. Now that both GM and Ford are out of the minivan picture, Chrysler must prove to itself that the American minivan is out to compete with the imports. And don't forget that the current Toyota Sienna is aging and should be due for another redesign pretty soon. Until then, Chrysler should enjoy its moment as one of the most innovative minivans today.

So they're not just setting back and letting the Asians take over what they invented. They'll fight to keep the biggest share of the minivan market. With all the different features they have on these vans, they have a model to offer just what any minivan buyer wants, except seating for eight and four wheel drive. I think feature for feature, nobody has Chrysler beat this year. Chrysler has so many the others don't and only a few they have that Chrysler doesn't. I am really happy now that it is back in American hands. That really frosted me when M.B. bought them out. |
