My BMW 3-series roof rack fit my Astra 4-door hatchback, although I had to replace the theft-proof bolts with regular allen bolts. Another possibility that showed up in Google was

Is anyone else having major repair issues on their Astra? I have 13K miles and already within the lemon laws. I have had oil leaks, headlight failures, power / accelleration issues, lock failures, and major rattles.

I have a 2008 Astra and I have complained of wind noise since I bought the vehicle. The have attempted to tighten the door and also replaced the driver's side door trim with no success.

I went on a road trip last week and the noise from the driver's side upper portion of the window (close to the front side airbag area) and across the front windshield.

I noticed a few days ago that I my front windshield is off center. The windshield on the driver's side now has a gap where I can actually fit my finger in along side the glass.

I would not buy an astra

creakid1-
thanks for the info, yeah i'm not surprised. GM has never done anything for the US-market. So why be surprised that once again they don't bring the good stuff here. I really think that Ford will be the success story with the new Focus.

Oh did you hear that GM will be shipping Buicks made in China to the US, after they closed our american factories, yeah let's keep supporting a company that says "Buy American" but yet they make it in China. Toyota and Honda actually make cars in America and can say they are.

So once again I'm not surprised that GM won't be doing anything right in the US. They haven't in the last 30 years why would they start now?

" the rear torsion-beam suspension...This 220-year-old design dates back to the earliest days of the steam engine, but has been used since to reduce the rear-steer effect of side loadings when cornering."

"Job done then? Well not quite. The steering is light and lacks the feedback of a Focus."
