Replying to: richarddavies (Mar 19, 2008 7:30 am) For the Odyssey, it depends on several factors:   1. Honda dealer, or local transmission guy? 2. How much is Honda's portion of the bill?   Typically, the cost is right around $4,000 to replace the transmission in an Odyssey from the Honda dealer; I don't know what it costs at an independent shop, but I'm guessing it'd be significantly cheaper.   A cheaper way to at least prolong the transmission is to change the transmission often- I believe there's a poster that swears by getting the transmission fluid drained and refilled (but not flushed) every 2 years or 30,000 miles.

Possibly on am going to pull trigger on this vehicle on Saturday. Car has 17000 miles, and looks great. The one thing on the carfax report speaks about how honda apparently purchased the car back from original owner to fix an alignment issue??? Problem has been fixed according to Honda, Should I be concerned? From what i understand, honda purchased the vehicle back from the previous owner, fixed the problem, and this deal purchased it auction

And that will show up on a Car Fax.   Later, when you go to sell it, that might scare some people away.   Some people look for reasons NOT to buy cars and that could do it.   My guess would be they bought it back to rid themselves of a pesky customer. The kind that takes thier hands off the wheel and when the car has a slight drift to the right which is normal, they think it PULLS to the right.   The customer probably kept hounding the service department to the point they bought it just to get rid of the headache.   That would be my guess anyway. I'm sure it'll be fine.

So we were initially going to get a 2009 Odyssey but we've decided to look into used 2007 EX-L models.   Does the 2007 have the camera feature that is standard in the 2008 & 2009 EX-L models also standard in the 2007?   Also, we want to make sure that the 2007's also have the ability to seat 8 like the 08 and 09. The one I saw did have seating for 8. Is it true for all of them?
