XF Lease Rates in SoCal by bimmeresq

Ok, I am looking for a XF Supercharged (liquid silver) and so far from the dealers in Los Angeles I have been communicating with, the lease program is 36 months/12k year for $3,000 down and $930/month plus tax. Seems pretty high so I am asking for the MF and residual to get a better understanding of there they are coming from. I told them I would sign docs tonight if they could get me in at $0 down and $850/month including tax. Wishful thinking? Maybe . . .

Yes wishful thinking.

I would expect the XF to lease at around what a Range Rover Sport of similar Price is leasing for now. They both go through the same leasing company and end up in the same leasing portfolio after the lease. A HSE sport with a MSRP in the low 60k range leases at around 1,000 including taxes or so a month with 3,000 down so it doesn't surprise me that a XF leases at the same rate.

If you are a bit of a gambler wait till the second quarter when Jag will change its leasing programs. By April they will have a good idea of March sales and may adjust the leasing programs to make them a bit better; however, if the XF sells out in march the leasing numbers might go up. How much of a risk taker are you?

Thanks for the response. I'm not so sure that the XF will sell out. I could be wrong and I love the car, but for whatever reason I am still not convinced. My lease on my Infiniti M45 expires on March 17 and I can drive my other car for awhile so I can get a better rate. If I can't land a good deal on an XF, I think I'll go back to MB and try its S-Class.

Here will be fine. When one asks a question directly, such as "Are you a salesman?" and the answer comes back quite quickly "No," then the person replying has clearly stepped in as either a pseudonymous online name, or some other third party who is apparently informed of the answerer's identity.

Another person has indicated to watch out for a salesperson who monitors this forum -- after this initial exchange took place, by the way -- and it seems only fair to look at the context and be transparent when dealing with a forum that people use to inform their purchases.

So, in the second instance you answered on behalf of this person who is/isn't a salesman, (depending on your level of mistrust) and it raises the concern that someone is using the forum to shape consumer information more favorably for their own ends.

So: Jag conspiracy or what? I bought another model long since.

I think you are reading way too much into this and spending too much time thinking about it.

No one can answer on behalf of someone else. Our identities are attached to our messages. The person you originally questioned is clearly a salesperson by the content of his/her two messages in this discussion and has done nothing to try to hide that. The person is not responsible for a message posted following your question. And just so you know, we welcome the participation of salespersons as long as they obey the terms of membership that we're all under and nearly all of them do.

We can't continue this conversation here. If you have anything else you want to say or ask, you need to email me.

Thanks.

Back on track to talking about the XF and not salespeople.

I was quite impressed w/ the XF's interior. Very modern and yet classy at the same time.

The supercharged car seems like quite a good value 63k or so fully loaded. With 420hp, 20 inch wheels, and all the upgrades, it's hard to quibble about value.

The XF has been out all of 1 week or so at most dealers. You're not going to be able to lease this vehicle cheaply. So forget about money rate factors and getting subsidized lease rates to compete with BMW and MB's.

Can someone post the March lease figures for the Jag? I know they are trying to get some good buzz on this car, so hopefully the lease deals will be somewhat attractive.....
