Has anyone bought or been looking to buy and XF in the last month or so. I wanted to know what kind of prices you were seeing. Where dealers willing to go down on their price?

I will be picking up an XF Luxury on 11/22. I was shopping the A6, 5 series, lexus, etc. This car was far and away the best looking of the bunch. The interior is flawless and the drive and handling is on par with the 5 series i just returned. I think it does have better power than the 5 series or a6 with the 300hp v8. i also drove the supercharged and i didnt notice the additional 120hp as much as i though. the supercharged is also about 250 lbs heavier.

sticker was 53,500 including nav, clod weather package, Sirius radio, premium package, etc. I paid $645 / month for 12K per year on 39 month lease with ~3900 due at signing. this included 1995 cap cost reduction, first month, bank fee, NJ MV fee and tire tax. This was more aggressive than i found audi or BMW for "similar" vehicles.

let me know if you feel i got a good deal here. if anyone wants any additional feedback, let me know

I am surpised that BMW was less aggressive. They have an older car and more of them. I about to check things out on the same basic cars that you were looking at. It sounds like a very good deal.

Jag told me the residuals changed from Oct to Nov. However, Jag put in a floor on the residual value of the vehicle so they are still able to offer aggressive lease rates. For a 5 series the sticker was higher for a similarly equipped vehicle with the nav and the residual was not as good hence the worse lease rate. The A6 was similarly priced as the Jag but i found it a little boring after taking the jag for a test drive.

Any idea what the actual residual value and money factor were used in your lease?

What are People Paying? by buddybrad

Like most of you, I'm considering the XF (Premium or Luxury Premium), 535xi, E350 AWD, and Audi A6. The '09 A6 is due out in Jan. '09 and will come std with a V6 300 hp supercharged motor that may be very interesting. AWD certainly would be nice in the snowbelt where I live, but I've been living with RWD and FWD all of my life so I guess I can keep going.

The Premium really has all I need with a few options added, but then going to the LP makes a few of those standard so the price difference comes out to apx. $5K. That's not chump change, but if I keep it for 5-6 years, it's more justifiable.

Is the B&W audio system worth the cost over the standard?
The extra power is negligable in real life, but the extra speakers may make a difference.

The bottom line is, what are people paying? You'd think with the economy as it is, you could buy one at invoice or slightly above. I don't see many XF on the road around Chicago.

Anyone buy the Extended Warranty? The reliability concerns me.

I see they are offering 0% financing for 3 months. That's a step in the right direction!

The lack of responses on this board tell me that due to the economy not many XFs are moving right now. I am also noticed dealers stocks of XFs have greatly increased. Still don't seem willing to deal much.

Folks - in the Northeast here. I am interested in a new XF SC with all of the options except for adaptive cruise...can anyone tell me a good price I should get?

Alternatively, I could also be interested in the premium lux loaded except for adaptive cruise...any thoughts on best price with this vehicle?

Would also appreciate anyones thoughts on either of these vehicles, especially the SC....thanks for any and all help
