Replying to: lselich (Sep 11, 2008 9:45 am) Also, had lots of creaks and squeaks and it took a full day, but they were able to fix that too (I did not think they would but I was pleasantly surprised).IMO a lot has to do with the dealership. If the dealership handles some really high end cars (like Aston Martin, Porsche, etc) they are geared to better and smarter mechanics. At my dealership, Jaguar is the low end car. |

yeh, the first time the dealer did the software update. a couple days later, l engine malfunction light on, took back again and they said engine misfires and cleaned fuel enjectors then a couple days later back on again, now it's been at the dealer since last thursday and they are still trying to find issue and dealing with tech support at jaguar as well. Creaks and Squeaks I could live with but this is not good. thanks for your message!

I have seen the XF at my local dealer here in Saudi, and loved it. I was already planning on buying XF V8 loaded (we also have a 3.0 V6 available, but real men drive v8). But I read about the problems with great disappointment. I will be replacing a '03 Cadillac CTS which had it share of problems and my other 04 SRX has been in the shop for the last 2 months and still is. I just do not want to do that again, not with a Jaguar. Now I do not know what to do, I love the car and would love to get it. I find it hard to believe that Jaguar would put out such a problematic car. Any words of encouragement?
