I picked up my Supercharged Porcelan/Champane Friday at Nellay jaguar in Roswell, Georgia. I live in Houston so I located the car while trying to find this color combination (most supercharged models are black & silver). I paid 61,799.
incuding all dealer fees (599 doc fee). I will pay the sales tax when I register the car in Texas 6.25 %. The salesmen said that sales had died in July and they had 5 in stock (supercharged). Houston dealers are able to get almost full retail on the supercharged models. The car performed great all the way home 840 miles and averaged 23 MPG. The only thing I found on the car is a rattle behind the sunroof under the headliner and the local dealer has fixed 2 others with the same rattle. I am 100 % happy with the car thus far and love the performance, styling and build quality. The timing is great if you are looking to purchase, good deals can be had with the current economic conditions (leasing still sucks). Nellay Jaguar was great to work with and I would highly recommend. Talk to Leonard if you are looking in the Atlanta area.

Let me say that this car really is clearly world class and I honestly can't think of a car I'd rather have. The feeling of driving this car is amazing, I can sense just how much engineering and fine tuning must have happened to make this such a well balanced sport luxury model. I came off a lease of a very competent Acura RL and nearly bought either the E or 5 series, but while those cars were very competent, this car just makes me grin driving it. Sure, the nav and the ergonomics don't match the acura, but the B&W stereo is terrific, the btooth phone implementtation is good, the seat cooling is better than the lexus or acura, the dash/lighting is impressive, and the IPOD+USB+aux inputs give some satisfaction for the gearheads. The fuel mileage on my 26 mile commutes to work have been exactly what my acura gave, around 22-23 mpg so I don't have V8 guilt and the sound of this engine when you step on it is just sweet. The tactile sense of the road, devoid of harshness and noise is just wonderfully dialed in and there is never a lack of power. I never seriously considered a Jaguar before, but if this car performs as it has, I think I might start to buy some of that old mystique!

Sounds like a quality automobile. Have been researching and viewing for a couple of weeks now. Seems to be everything I want except for minor missing items. Currently driving a Lexus GS 300 06'. The XF should have the following items:

1. Electric pull-down for trunk
2. Power side mirror retractors
3. Cover on top side of trunk (you see metal)
4. Seat settings memory on passenger side
5. Fog lights

Fit and finish appears to be fine. Any thoughts on why these are missing and if any of these or other features may be added later?

Just took delivery of our SECOND XF after we negotiated a buy out of the first because of excessive problems. Well this one is going in for service already. Excessive wind noise from drivers door and fit/finish of the center console needs attention.
Someone mentioned this is a world class vehicle? I have never experienced this type of poor quality control.
This XF is up for sale and we are saying goodbye to Jaguar!

Well that sucks to hear. You did say that you bought your jag from Jaguar of Scottsdale?? Both Jag stores in the Valley are owned by Penske so there is no competition. Ive only seen handful of XFs in Scottsdale and notice on North Scottsdale Jags website that INVENTORY is high and they are not moving them.

Yes. Bought from North Scottsdale. The inventory online did not come close to what I was able to pick from on the second go around. My feeling was they were all parked in service until I left. lol By the way I did call Penske home office to complain about the first one.

Sorry to be a Johnny come lately, but what types of problems were you having that led to the return and subsequent buyout of your first XF? I'm about 3 weeks in to mine and from the sounds of some these messages the worse is yet to come.

Here you go pjpell,

Between the two this is the list in order:

1. defect in windshield - replace
2. trim around rear view mirror - fix
3. engine malfunction light - fix after 500 mile test drive by dealer - WOW
4. sound pack for turn signal/seat belts - new part - fix
5. engine malfunction light - fix
6. drivers door will not latch all the time
7. wind noise drivers side
8. engine malfunction light - dealer buy out
9. very obvious wind noise driver side
10. fit/finish of center console - cupholder cover not aligned and "dent" near emergency brake release

Good luck to all who purchase an XF.

Sorry you experienced all those problems.I have my XF for about 1 week now + only problem is some front end creaking noises when the vehicle is travelling at speeds below 25 miles per hour. Nothing else. Anyone have any thoughts on what is causing the creaking sounds - maybe a suspension problem?
