That was you too, funny. My wife was worried about the space. so I wanted to check out the trunk space and sit in the back seat where my 2 boys will be sitting. Did your car have chrome wheels. and if so was that extra or thrown in?

Do you think its big enough for a family car? boys are 6 and 8. I still have 4 months left on my lease(Navigator). They wont let me out of it early (gee I wonder why). You could'nt see the cops face (dark visors in scottsdale) I'm sure he was saying >>I'm going to get yah> My wife said I can have any color I wanted as long as it was BLACK<< She's very FORD like.

The trunk is huge. Larger than the Infiniti M. Plus the back seats fold down for additional storage if necessary. Not an option with the M. Back seat room was an issue with me too. I have 3 girls and I think it's going to work. The M has a little more leg space than the Jag but it's definitely larger than either the Lexus GS or ES 350 and slighty more roomy than BMW and Mercedes. I think it will work as a familly car. I'm getting great gas mileage, better than the M. I prefer white myself but my wife said I needed to get some more color in my life. When I began shopping I had 2 months left on my lease and had some dealers offer to pay my last payments, I just wasn't in a rush to give it in early because I really did love my M and did plan on leasing an 08, until I saw the jag and saw that it was financially feasable. I just had to put an extra $1000 down and $11 a month and I was driving a 2009 jag instead of a 2008 infiniti M35. Didn't get chromes, but wish I did. The cars in the showroom all had chromes and man did they look sharp.

I was in a similar situation with a BMW and accepted a replacement. Replacement car has no problems whatsoever. I would give Jaguar another chance.

I finally made it to the dealer today. They took took care of everything first class. BTW, the speakers didn't stop working, the top front door speaker grills are empty unless you have the surround sound ........my mistake.

I am dealing with Alpine Jaguar in Ft. Lauderdale and am very happy.

I will be back should I have any further problems.

I feel very bad for the issues you have been having with this car. I have 6000 miles and drive it almost everyday and it has not given me any issues. I love the car so far. I hope you did not get a lemon.

Rim protection for XF Premium Lux? by bluesaab

I just bought a beautiful XF premium lux with the 19" wheels- largest I've ever had by far. The car is remarkable. The dealer offered me a tire and wheel protection plan for $542 for 3 yrs - he says the alloys are about $700 each and that with low profile tires, is wise to opt for the protection plan for both flats and for the tires- any thoughts on this? roads are fairly good around here- anyone else getting lots of flats with the 19s?
thanks

I think it is good coverage if this is the PowerAuto captive plan. I bought it for my last two XJR's and got about $3000 each in tire and wheel replacements for my investment (which seemed to be priced at about $450 at that time). I bought the tire and wheel plan with my XF too, However, we have a bunch of potholes and obstacles out here, which will eat up 19" or 20" tires and wheels. If you have smooth roads and don't feel that you will have problems you can pass on the plan.

Follow Up on My XF by donfenn

I am nearing 5000 miles and love my car.. except that I have experienced creaking and rattling in a couple of doors, which has been aggravating. I just got it back today, and it is finally is quiet and creak free. I found the noise to be frustrating, but they were really attentive and finally got it fixed. It seems that the door trims and gaskets were too snug and they finally replaced the trim. This could be an early production adjustment. Other than this, my car has been trouble free and all systems work perfectly.

Despite this rattle issue, I love my XF. It is a really nice car, and it has a panache that cannot be compared to the tired Mercedes E Class and BMW 5 Series styles. I certainly agree that the XF lease programs could be better, but it is no wonder than BMW and Mercedes are promoting their old designs with lease deals.

I think that Tata will come up with programs on these cars, but it is anybody's guess as to when this will happen.

This is a great car, whose intro timing is not so great under the current economic conditions... If you were to chart sales of all V8 sport sedans at this time you would find a downward curve in interest and sales due to gasoline prices. I think that the XF will be a long term winner, but this has not been the best time frame during which to unleash a new V8 powered model. Note that this car is apparently sold in other markets in turbodiesel and 6 cylinder versions....but no such options here in the U.S.... Tata may recognize this and come up with some other options too, since Jaguar's product line is so limited.

I picked up my Supercharged Porcelan/Champane Friday at Nellay jaguar in Roswell, Georgia. I live in Houston so I located the car while trying to find this color combination (most supercharged models are black & silver). I paid 61,799.
incuding all dealer fees (599 doc fee). I will pay the sales tax when I register the car in Texas 6.25 %. The salesmen said that sales had died in July and they had 5 in stock (supercharged). Houston dealers are able to get almost full retail on the supercharged models. The car performed great all the way home 840 miles and averaged 23 MPG. The only thing I found on the car is a rattle behind the sunroof under the headliner and the local dealer has fixed 2 others with the same rattle. I am 100 % happy with the car thus far and love the performance, styling and build quality. The timing is great if you are looking to purchase, good deals can be had with the current economic conditions (leasing still sucks). Nellay Jaguar was great to work with and I would highly recommend. Talk to Leonard if you are looking in the Atlanta area.
