Value of multiple security deposits?? by texasguy8

Does anyone know how much each multiple security deposit will reduce the MF for a 2009 XF? I have been told by the dealer that I am working with that each multiple security deposit reduces the MF by .0006, which is on .144%. This is through Jaguar credit.
Thanks

I am sure that everyone here understands that dealers play with the payments by having large up front payments. Heck, they can make the monthly payment almost any number they want...and most buyers only look at how cheap it will be each month. Most buyers are not smart buyers.

It's a shame that so many buyers focus on the monthly payment instead of the total cost of the lease. So in the above example, that $649 lease is really a $749 per month lease..you just pay the extra $100 a month up front. Why would you do that? You do realize that if you pay money up front and total the car, you effectively lose your gap insurance....because the gap insurance pays the difference between what you've paid in and the value of the car. Guess what..you paid in that up front payment....so they don't need to cover any gap. Bad idea.

If you live in a state where multiple security deposits are allowed...and the finance company allows them, they are usually a good deal....assuming the reduction for each security deposit is around .00008 or better. Infiniti reduces by .0001 and that saves you about 10% per year on your security deposit money....better than keeping it in a bank. Few dealers understand Multiple Security Deposits...many say they don't offer them because they have never heard of them. I have been told by dealer finance managers that they don't offer multiple security deposits because they never bothered to look or find out. They are a generally a very good deal, if you can afford to make the extra deposits which you get back at the end of the lease. If you can afford to make an up front payment, you will do much better financially by using that same money to pay multiple security deposits.

avery 8,
I own a luxury fx with 4500 miles. I love my car. I have read some people complaining about leasing prices and comparing it with the BMW 5 series. This car is far superior than the bimmer in style. Where ever u turn u see a 5 series and to be honest, I do not see anything special. This car is unique in style and the drive is smooth. I have not had any issues whatsoever with this car. An extra $200- 300 for a lease payment should not stop you from getting this car. If you like the car get it. The beauty of this car is that you do not see one in every street corner.

i drove the xf again today and still love it
do you think that is a good price?
there is another one they are getting in which i may like the color even more (indigo), it is a luxury without nav (which i don't need), it has cold and vision packages and sirius radio
they offered a price for the luxury of $52,000, which is close to msrp
what do you think of that price?

I purchased a Luxury XF in porcelain with a Dove interior for $50,000 (excluding TT&L) and it has everything standard plus the sirius radio and rear window blind. It is the most classy car on the road. I have made a few trips and it made between 26-28 mpg which is what my old X-Type made with a 6 cyl. Hope you enjoy yours.

I have the Premium Lux. Pearl grey with charcoal.....Beautiful. Well I am starting to get those famous annoying glitches.
1) interior lights don't go on and off when I open the door
2) drivers side seat adjustments stopped working
3) two of the four front door speakers stopped working
4) the glove compartment stopped opening

Don't get me wrong, I love the car and feel confident the dealer will take care of these things.

We'll see
