It is true that there are no current lease bargains on the XF, but the U. S. Bank deals are not bad. At some point Jaguar will offer something more aggressive in leases, but it may not be for a couple of more months or more.

Yes, BMW has programs which are very aggressive, but the current 5 series has been out for years, and it is nearing the end of its cycle. You can get a deal on one, but you will be driving an old model for the last couple of years of your lease, as there will be an revised 5 series model within the next year or so.

New XF S/C by xn07247

Took delivery of a new XF S/C. Love the car but miss alot of the features of my previous Infiniti M45. especially the navigation system. The Infiniti had superior electronics in almost every category including awesome DVD surround sound stereo, predictive backup camera, tire pressure readouts, maintenance logging/reminders, seating position memory on key fobs, etc., etc. And the Infiniti voice controlled everything - the Jag only controls Nav and Telephone. The REALLY annoying thing about the Nav is you can't enter a destination with voice while driving, only by entering manuallly while stopped. Though the touch screen is nice compared to the dial inputs in the BMW and the like.

On the plus side, the fit and finish is excellent. The car has the most luxurious interior I've owned with minimal use of plastics and maximum use of leather and wood. Very quiet and it feels very solid, very heavy. But fast and it handles amazingly. And it's a work of art on the exterior. Constantly getting compliments and I have a unique car that you don't see on the road very often.

So I'll eventually get used to not having the electronic luxuries and appreciate the car for what it really is, a true driving machine.

I'm in New york and leased through US Bank. With a few dealer add-ons (tinted windows, spoiler, chrome power vents), my 39 month, 12k lease is $899/month with about $5k out-of-pocket (mostly New York State taxes). Compares pretty favorably to the competition for a fully loaded XF.

XN: my post is below. It appears that you got a much better deal that they are offering me. What was your MSRP versus selling price? what MF and residual did they use?
Thanks

Well he did put 5,000 dollars down to pay his sales tax up front since he is in New York and that is pretty much required in that state. How much total out of pocket is your lease quote and is sales tax included in your monthly payment?

Thanks for getting back to me. The sales tax and aquisition fee ($4795) is included in lease. I only pay the 1st month's lease at signing; no other fees or costs.

Not an exact science since you can't residualize the add-ons (tint, spoiler, etc.), and they essentially threw them in for nothing to make the deal. However, based on what the dealer's price was for those add-on's, here are the numbers:

MSRP $63,275
with extras $65,383
Cap cost $61,675
residual 52% ($32,903)
Money Factor .0018

Hope this helps.

Thanks again. This sure helps. I see that my offer was not good at all when I look at what your dealer gave you. The big difference is the MF .0018 vs .00332. There is also 2% difference in the residual and you got 5 1/2% off MSRP and they are giving me 3 1/2%. I think I will move on and look at another car. Much appreciate your information.

You guys aren't comparing the same car, XF Premium vs XF SC, or the same leasing companies for that matter.

XN is leasing through US bank who right now has fairly aggressive numbers for most jags and Land Rovers. It looks like texas's dealer is using Jaguar Capital Group and since Jag and LR are still running all of their leasing business through Ford but aren't owned by Ford any longer Ford is not offering aggressive leasing programs.

Texas ask your dealer if they are signed up with US bank and if they aren't they should be. Call around to find a Jag dealer that is signed up.
