Replying to: phantom5 (Jun 06, 2008 8:47 pm) These ultra high residuals subsizded by the manufacturer can't last forever. It's killing BMW and I've heard that 2009 residuals might be more in line with other car companies. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601100&sid=ahNEACGtfTLE&refer=germany |

You can get a deal on one, but you will be driving an old model for the last couple of years of your lease, as there will be an revised 5 series model within the next year or so.

Took delivery of a new XF S/C. Love the car but miss alot of the features of my previous Infiniti M45. especially the navigation system. The Infiniti had superior electronics in almost every category including awesome DVD surround sound stereo, predictive backup camera, tire pressure readouts, maintenance logging/reminders, seating position memory on key fobs, etc., etc. And the Infiniti voice controlled everything - the Jag only controls Nav and Telephone. The REALLY annoying thing about the Nav is you can't enter a destination with voice while driving, only by entering manuallly while stopped. Though the touch screen is nice compared to the dial inputs in the BMW and the like. On the plus side, the fit and finish is excellent. The car has the most luxurious interior I've owned with minimal use of plastics and maximum use of leather and wood. Very quiet and it feels very solid, very heavy. But fast and it handles amazingly. And it's a work of art on the exterior. Constantly getting compliments and I have a unique car that you don't see on the road very often. So I'll eventually get used to not having the electronic luxuries and appreciate the car for what it really is, a true driving machine. I'm in New york and leased through US Bank. With a few dealer add-ons (tinted windows, spoiler, chrome power vents), my 39 month, 12k lease is $899/month with about $5k out-of-pocket (mostly New York State taxes). Compares pretty favorably to the competition for a fully loaded XF.
