Extreme Pulsing at idle and high RPM - READ ONLY

I have a 2000 Insight that only has 42,000 miles on it and at any speed , even idle the RPM raises and lowers, and when the air cond. is on it goes from strong idle to almost dieing one right after another pulse. When I accelerate it acts like no gas then gas, like you would take your foot of the gas and then floor it one time after another as fast as you can . The only way I can describe it is a very fast pulsing , like it is running out of gas completely and then to the rescue some gas immediately. I'm not an Insight owner, but what you're describing sounds very much like what happened on my Altima when I had a bad fuel injector

Replying to: dalorian (Aug 27, 2007 3:52 pm) had same thing happen to my 2000 insight. first time the dealer had the car for a month and replaced the injectors, o2 sensors, plugs, and ecm. finally fixed. then had the ecm replaced recently on recall and same problem but the dealer had it next day and said they had to reset the computer
