Full Test: 2008 Nissan Rogue SL AWD - Once you're behind the wheel, you're first struck by the sheer amount of plastic within the interior. The dash appears cheap at first, but the soft-touch plastic has a pleasant malleability to it, and the silver-painted plastic surrounds look sharp. (more)

Replying to: cruiser69 (Dec 06, 2007 8:57 am) I disagree to say the Rouge has lots of noise is not correct. Does the CVT equiped Rogue accelerate differently yes but overall it is quieter than a lot of the competition including the CRV or RAV4. It is very quiet at cruising speed you barely hear the motor and very little wind noise. Noise from the cargo area is an issue with most all the small crossovers but IMO the Rogue is the quietest at least amongst the CRV, RAV4 and Rogue.

Reality, ROGUE was names after a Marvel comics character. The colors are named like that too(Gotham Grey) It is now very quiet..EZ on gas, looks great. Never pretends to be something it is not...It is intended to be a COMPACT SUV with a eye on convenience and versatility.. Has since become MotorWeek small SUV of the year and awarded by Kiplingers too. Knocked the Honda CR-V off the top list. Everyone has a preference- Mine is NISSAN No longer a sleeper, it has bolstered Nissan sales by nearly 19%...
