First Drive: 2008 Honda Accord Sedan - The '08 Accord strikes a familiar balance of performance, value and efficiency. But this time it's not bland. (more)
First Drive: 2008 Honda Accord Coupe - An oddly sexy Honda Accord with the heart of, well, a Honda Accord. (more)
Full Test: 2008 Honda Accord EX V6 - At the test track, the new Accord hit 60 mph in 7.1 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 15.5 seconds at 91.8 mph. That's a solid improvement over the Accord in our last V6 Family Sedan Comparison Test, but it's still well behind the Camry V6 that whomped to 60 in just 6.5 seconds and scorched the quarter in 14.6 seconds at 97.3 mph. (more)
Long-Term Test: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6 - With every new generation of a vehicle as popular as this, questions are raised, even more so in a segment as fiercely competitive as the family sedan market. Has Honda gone too far in an effort to spice up its volume offering, aspired to too much sophistication? (more)

And 2008 prices aren't expected to increase very much. According to this article, the leather in the new Accord is top quality for a car of that price too: http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/08/30/2008-honda-accord-is-a-game-changer/

I realize that many don't like the way this is done (eg, why do I have to get leather just to get an outside temp gauge? or why can't I get auto-climate control with cloth seats?) However, I didn't have leather in my 95 and I'm thoroughly enjoying all aspects (including the leather) in my 06 EX-L. |

Honda Accord Stylish??? Never thought I would ever hear that. I will give them one thing, they are trending better with there design. However, it looks like a redesigned Hyundai sonata.

The new Motor Trend has an article comparing these two cars and I think the Accord just looks much better than the Camry. I can see some Sonata in the front, but that's not such a bad thing. The Sonata isn't such a bad car, was quite impressed with the 6 cylinder '06 GLS I rented last year. True the gas mileage was far from stellar, but it rode very nicely and the power seat was a joy for me with my spinal problems. And the added affordability is a real plus. Would I buy the Sonata over the Accord or Camry...tough decision there but it would definitely be a strong contender. I prefer the Sonata over the Mazda 6 style wise. Hate the idea that the Accord grew in length about 4". Would love to get the wife into one in about 2 or 3 years, but she's very happy with her Mazda 3 size car and I'm afraid the Accord has inched it's way out of her short list for when the time comes. Pity. I have no doubt that Car & Driver will also have a comparo article coming out in this issue or the next one so it'll be interesting to see how the 2 articles rate these two top sellers. The top of the line Toyota Camry is around $28,000 but the accord is $30,000+? I think hey for an extra $5,000 just get the Lexus Es instead of the Camry. If I want all those features of the top of the line accord I would rather have a Lincoln MKZ, The redesigned 2008 Calladic CTS, Lexus ES, Redesigned 2008 A4, or I could buy a TL for around same price. If I want leather and Dual Climate control just get the Lexus or Acura instead and I get a luxury brand for around the same price as that $30,000 Accord EX.

They are built in Marysville, Ohio, USA. http://www.ohio.honda.com/Company/map.cfm http://corporate.honda.com/press/article.aspx?id=4105 |
