What is this discussion about? Honda Accord, Coupe, Sedan

First Drive: 2008 Honda Accord Sedan - The '08 Accord strikes a familiar balance of performance, value and efficiency. But this time it's not bland. (more)

First Drive: 2008 Honda Accord Coupe - An oddly sexy Honda Accord with the heart of, well, a Honda Accord. (more)

Full Test: 2008 Honda Accord EX V6 - At the test track, the new Accord hit 60 mph in 7.1 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 15.5 seconds at 91.8 mph. That's a solid improvement over the Accord in our last V6 Family Sedan Comparison Test, but it's still well behind the Camry V6 that whomped to 60 in just 6.5 seconds and scorched the quarter in 14.6 seconds at 97.3 mph. (more)

Long-Term Test: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6 - With every new generation of a vehicle as popular as this, questions are raised, even more so in a segment as fiercely competitive as the family sedan market. Has Honda gone too far in an effort to spice up its volume offering, aspired to too much sophistication? (more)

Love VSA standard.
Love the larger gas tank.
Love standard discs (could have bought a lower model)
Tire pressure monitoring is nice
Finally MP3 playback
Finally audio input
Finally RDS

Still no split rear seat.

More power for the 4-cyl, but no more torque. It will drive the same (or slower) unless you really rev it up.

Not crazy about the larger size though. It is an Avalon.

Handsome cars but too big. Don't want the complexity of VCM. Do want AVTEC. So AVTEC must debut in 2008 and the Diesel in 2009?

VSA just might save your life. Have had it on my Avalon for 3 years. Paid extra for it and it's never kicked in that I know of, but I'm happy it's there. I think it may be required by NHTSA the end of 2008. http://www.iihs.org/laws/comments/pdf/nhtsa_ds_akl_101906.pdf

If it's good enough for Formula 1, it's good enough for you.

Wow. I think the Accord looks great. It looks a lot better then the Camry. It's not bloated looking like the current Camry. The interior looks a lot more upscale too.

Honda finally hired people that know how to design an attractive vehicle!

I like the coupe much better then the sedan. I have never really been a Honda fan, however, I really like the power numbers the engines are putting out. I think there are 1 too many engine choices. Should have stuck with the 190hp 2.4 and 3.5 V6. Lets see if it really drives better then the current model.

almost worthy of an lol.

i'm so glad they kept the double wishbone suspension.

I like the new engine choices...and the power is fantastic.

I do hope no-one is looking for amazing handling numbers though, because these are still fwd cars, and while they should be a blast to drive, they are not going to be skidpad champions.

I'd still take one though!

one thing that i noted though was that on the sedans v6, there is an ivtec decal, but on the non vcm coupe v-6, it just said vtec. Is the coupe without i vtec? or does the sedan want to flaunt the i-vtec a little more since it has other technological advances such as the vcm? I dunno.

At any rate, the car look great, and the mpg estimates are wonderful.

Or the Legend, from over 20 years ago. It was the first of the BMW bashers and started the acceptance of Japanese vehicles as competitive with (and, as we know, superior to) European vehicles. It was a completely different world back then: no Lexus, no Infiniti.
