Does anyone know if Chevrolet offers an updated DVD for their navigation system? I have a 05 Tahoe and some of the info in the DVD is old and outdated and it would be cool if I could get an updated DVD from the dealer. Anyone know the answer to this? Also, I will be moving to Alaska in a few months, will it work there? Thanks.

I found out the answer to my own question for those interested. The website www.gmnavdisc.com has updated navigation dvds available for purchase for all model year GM vehicles. They are a little pricey as the newest update is $200.00.

Sometimes you can find the accessory manuals online with the owner's manuals. Try this link:

If that's a dead end, I suppose the dealer or eBay or other car publishing outfit may be your only options.

I just purchased a 2005 Chev Suburban with a nav system in it. It is the same system that is in my wifes car. It was working great. It was -22 degrees and the working then the screen went gray and a popping sound in the speakers happens about every 40 seconds. The radio still works. The controls on the steering wheel control it and I can changes stations. However the only thing that works on the stereo itself is the volume knob. Any ideas?

I just purchased a very clean 2006 Tahoe with all the options except a navigation system. I need to know where I may be able to purchase an OEM used or new navigation system. Secondly, can I install it by removing and replacing the existing radio unit? I appreciate your suggestions.
