I'm looking for others who have the CMBS system on their RL. I drove an 06 with CMBS, loved the feature, and then bought one for myself in 07. Problem is, my 07 doesn't work like the 06 and certainly doesn't work like the 07 manual describes. Go here to the Honda site to read about the feature (near the bottom of the document).  http://www.hondanews.com/categories/755/releases/3766   For my car, stage 1 triggers at (what I would describe as) the last moment of opportunity to brake. You're probably within 1-2 seconds of the "point of no return". I've never seen a stage 2 on my car. My experience with the 06 was a stage 1 alert with plenty of time (6+ seconds). If you didn't react within about 3 seconds you got a stage 2 alert with a tug on the seat belt.   About a month ago, I started a discussion on another board and found 6 others with this CMBS car. Five had an 06 and one had an 07. As I suspected. All those with an 06 said it was acting as described in the manual. The one with the 07 said it was not working and had already had it in to the dealer with the same complaint.   I'm starting to think there's a serious problem with this CMBS system and may require a recall. The only other explanation is that Acura changed the feature in the 07's and intentionally "toned it down" to be less of an early warning system. If that is the case, then I want my money back. That's not how the feature was described to me when I bought it.   By the way, Acura already checked the system for trouble codes and declared it working properly. I filed a lemon law case as well as a complaint with the NHTSA and FTC. I'm looking for more CMBS owners to share their thoughts so we can determine if there's something only wrong with my car or it's a broader problem. Replying to: spicymikey (Aug 13, 2007 9:55 am) Hi Folks, Here's an update on my CMBS problem. I have now officially filed a Lemon Law case against Acura for the CMBS system. I may have gotten their attention because they have now removed the very misleading marketing pitch about this feature from their website. The link I referenced in the last post doesn't work anymore. That's good. They are misleading the potential car buyer into thinking this $4000 feature is something it's not anymore.   I've created a video of how my car performs in preparation for my upcoming Arbitration.
