| thank for your opinion. If i were to bulid on the 2.0 engine, where could I find where to get parts at and what can i really do to the engine. | |

here's a few places... www.vwvortex.com www.tmtuning.com www.parts4vws.com www.vividwonders.com www.eurosportacc.com those are the places i've gotten a lot of parts from for building on my projects over the years and have had nothing but great service. try to stay away from ebay while buying parts...i mean i know the prices may look good on things but trust me you want your vw to stay reliable, i'd stay away. if you haven't already been to vwvortex, that's a great site for refrences with a lot of people that know their stuff. as for what you can do, there are so many ways you can take it. what kind of build are you looking to do? |

I have a 99GLS 2.0 w/107K, and my good freind has a 99GLS 2.0 w/165K!!! Your car w/61K has a lot of life left IF you take care of it/VW specs. By the way, if you have not thought about a timing belt and water pump replacement, you probably should before you modify. Most posters here that are unhappy with the Jetta usually didn't read the VW recommended maintenace plan. |
