Sounds like that buggy Camry transmission. Go check the forums and you'll see the same complaints. My mother-in-law has a Camry and it feels like your driving a cloud. The dynamics are horrible but I'm guessing most people like that. Not for me though. I'm buying 2007 an Aura XR tomorrow for 21K with the 3500 incentive going on. You can't get any V6 Camry for that price. To me the Aura offers so much more in the driving experience department.

Wow, that's a great deal on your XR! If you like it even half as much as I like mine, you won't be disappointed.

I know .. I can't believe how good of a deal I got. I've test driven it several times and I love it! I feel like it's a steal at this price. Plus the sales experience has been so smooth, no pressure at all through the process. I might be a convert for a long while.

I 've been reading all these remarks about the aura verses camry debate.I really like the one about the camry transmission having to learn your driving style.I've owned a fair amount of vehicles so far .our current family car is a lincoln ls and it has a screwed up tranny.the dealer told me the same thing about the computer learning our driving habits. It's pretty hard when four people drive it.It turns out the valve body had to be replaced. Our previous car was a toyota avalon.it's first 35,000 miles it liked the dealer's repaip shop a lot.the lincoln is a far better car overall than the avalon allthough both have given us fits and both held their resale value. Our next car is going to be an aura.drove both the xe and the xr i want the xr mom wants the xe $$$ mom will probably win.and with a great warranty to boot.i have two cousins that both purtchased auras and both love them.no problems with either and they have a combined mileage of 70,000.maybe america does make good cars again.

Does it still have the 4-speed automatic as standard equipment?
