Based on the information provided in the other forum (by stevecebu), scca.org seems to be the organization who manages these in the US and their rules and car classifications can be obtained from within their site.
I just became a member in our local chapter (mnautox.com) and hope to join in the fun, when the next event takes place here.

Cool, I've done 100s and 100s of auto-x events over the years. I haven't been to one in a few years but it was great fun and comradre when we did em.

I think checking through the SCCA.org rules, my car would be placed in the "Street Touring" or STS category. This is because I have the slightly larger rear sway bar and the slightly wider rims/tires.
However, since I don't have other suspension mods other than the 2 strut braces (like stiffer springs/struts), I am not fully utilizing the leeway provided to cars in the STS category.
But let us see.
