Article comments for First Drive: 2007 NCE FJ Cruiser Convertible - With the top down and the windows raised, the FJ convertible is nearly as temperate and draft-free as the hardtop FJ. Judging by the stares we get (well, except for the guy in the Wrangler straining to avoid eye contact), it's even cooler on the outside. (more)

I spoke to a toyota representative at the NYC auto show who hinted at a larger selection in colors including "mono's". Also, when is the '08 line due out? It is really nice to know that Toyota is considering a top down version seriously. What is not so heartening is: Is it still going to cost 10K more than a comparable stock FJ? I beleive that is what the conversion kit currently costs. Any thoughts? Cheers!! --njexpress
