If you use the actual key in the door you can roll the windows up or down depending on which way you turn the key. FYI.

You can put your Hybrid in park, Get out, close the door and press the lock buton on the door handle and walk away.

DANGEROUS? YUP the car is still on! No warning Beeps or anything. Do that in your garage and maybe kill the whole house.

I reported this to the NHTSA !!!

cars have given warning when lights were left on and the key was left in the ignition for 20 years. How come the hybrids are so far behind? Another good reason not to buy one. I say outlaw the keyless ignition. It is a STUPID option in the first place. Only for people too LAZY to put a key in the ignition.

If the ICE were running you would know it's on. With the electric motor waiting to run the dumb thing is completely silent and I thought it was off! Dummy.

I loved the story about the couple that left theirs, locked the dumb car at the airport and went on a two week vacation and returned to find it out of gas and the cranking batter run down completely. So I guess it is too hard to push the button if you forget to.

They should make it beep if you leave the drivers seat while it's still on, thats my solution for the half smart half dumb key.
