This past weekend at the Iola Old Car Show I had the chance to take a ride in a '67 Amphicar. It was unbeliveably cool. Has anyone else had this experience? Oh yeah, I posted a video of the ride at: http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/videos/OCW/ocw_tv.asp It is a little choppy...the editing, not the water...Check it out if you get a chance.

Replying to: mattgergeni (Jul 20, 2007 1:19 pm) Years later I answered a classified ad for one but the guy made a point of emphasizing how this was only a special occasion car and absolutely not an everyday driver! He actually offered to throw in an old Ford wagon as an everyday driver but I never did go through with it. My general impression was this was a car you wanted someone you knew to own rather than own yourself because it's pretty high maintenance. It was also pretty high cool when showing off.
