The thing I worry about is usually Saab has good ideas but you cannot see the actual products until other brands stole the ideas. I think some crossovers got the ideas from from 9-X and 9-3X concept cars.

Saab invented passenger side mirror, heated seats, headlight washers, active head restraints, etc.
Cad CTS stole the Saab steering wheel and vent control too.

Upscale Subaru? by bhroberts

I always thought Subaru needed an upscale division like Nissan/Infiniti and Toyota/Lexus. GM could preempt that space if it offers AWD with all it's Saab models. I like my 5-speed-manual 2004 9-5 Aero, but I'd like it a lot better with AWD (or XWD or whatever).

Can I say BLACK TURBO, BLACK TURBO, BLACK TURBO, 3 times ? Give me XWD, a Bose Surround Sound System, Ventilated Seats, XM Traffic w/ HD Radio, Swivel Head Lamps, State of the Art Navigation, and of course 325 Turbocharged horses and a stick.

Those "solid black side moldings" conspicuously missing from the 2008 are the reason my 2002 is unmarked after 55K in an urban environment.

My other car, a 2003 Avalon, was introduced as a new model in 2005, again without side moldings. Guess what the #1 dealer-installed option became.

Black Turbo by bons

The last time Saab produced a high performance car (the Viggen) it was more efficient than Porsche 911 Turbo in producing power and performance. Saab has always been about performance and efficiency, its engine is without question the best 4-cylinder in the world. BMW just recently introduced turbocharged into their 3 series for the first time whereas Saab has been the father and pioneer in turbocharged technologies since 1970s. Finally a V6 and XWD, expect Saab Black Turbo to be in the same league as Porsche. Outperforming a BMW M or Mercedes Black is within easy reach.

With Black Turbo in the pipeline I think Saab will return to Talladega III for another record breaking run

Am too very excited about Saab Black Turbo...

Saab record breaking run at Talladega in 1986 & 1996
Talladega a testament of legendary performance and reliability of Saab

Pat,

it's nice to see you also pal. I've been job hunting (have a couple of leads) and of course going through this nasty divorce pal, thus not leaving me much time to be on here.

i know this is going to sound lame and petty, but the no Bluetooth policy is a dealbreaker. who wants to pay a monthly fee for something you may never use (yeah, yeah, if you're in an accident in the middle of bum*uck nowhere...). the rest of the competition at least has it as an option. GM needs to let go of that lame service.
